Zeiss BelOMO joint-venture is a joint project of the Carl Zeiss company, a leading global supplier to optics, precision mechanics and electronics markets, and the unitary enterprise Vavilov Minsk Machinery Plant, the head company in the Belorussian Opto-Mechanical Association (BelOMO). “Zeiss BelOMO” joint-venture was established on 20.07.1995 on the premises of Vavilov Minsk Machinery Plant The advantageous geographical position of the Republic of Belarus and the talent and expertise of its workforce helped the newly emerged business spring to its feet and take a strong position in the market. Best innovative practices and benchmarking technologies acquired from Carl Zeiss landed the company anticipated rapid success. 1995 saw over 10 bln. dollar investments in the cutting-edge optics and precision mechanics equipment for the venture. Today Zeiss BelOMO has advanced production facilities fueled by high-trained employees and backed up by agile and proaktive logistics stategies.
